A steering idler arm supports one end of the steering center link and pivots with it as you turn the wheel, which helps hold the linkage in position. It tests these parts at temperatures below -40°C and above 120°C and through 720 hours of salt-spray exposure. Dimensional and material analysis targets close compatibility with the OE part.

An idler arm may need replacing if you notice excess play in the steering wheel, wandering or vague steering, clunking from the linkage when turning, or uneven tire wear.
