SKF Differential Pinion Seal P/N:18759
Help keep lubricant inside the rear differential and dirt and water out with the SKF differential pinion seal, part number 18100. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, including the 1965-1973 Ford Mustang and 1983-1984 Ford Ranger. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list of Ford and Mercury vehicles and engine details.
A pinion seal sits where the driveshaft yoke enters the differential. Its body stays stationary while the sealing lip rides on the rotating yoke, and it is designed to hold gear lubricant in and keep road contaminants out.
SKF invented the first integrated shaft seal in 1928. Since then it has introduced new seal designs and bonding techniques. Its seals are made to specific designs from premium materials chosen to suit the application and its environment.
Signs this seal may need replacing include gear oil seeping or dripping from the front of the rear differential, a wet or grimy pinion area, or a low differential fluid level. Confirm the source of the leak before replacing the seal.
