Dorman - OE Solutions Drive Shaft P/N:986-986
Dorman 986-981 rear drive shaft for the 2015-2017 Ford F-150 carries engine torque back to the rear axle. This Dorman drive shaft bolts on at both ends.
A vibration that changes with speed, a clunk when you shift or accelerate, or a joint that feels loose can mean the shaft or its joints are worn. Out-of-balance tires or wheels can feel similar, so have the cause found before replacing the shaft. Once the old shaft is out of the vehicle, look it over for dents and turn each joint by hand to feel for binding or play.
It fits the 2015-2017 Ford F-150, which takes one.
