As a Dorman lower control arm, it connects the steering knuckle to the vehicle's frame. This lets the wheel travel up and down, and the ball joint gives the knuckle a pivot point for steering. Signs that the arm may need replacing include clunking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear and torn bushings. Have the suspension inspected to confirm the cause before you replace it. This arm is sold individually, and replacing both sides together is recommended. Have the wheel alignment checked after installation.
