Dynamic Friction Company Disc Brake Rotor P/N:604-52017
Built for smooth, controlled stops, the Dynamic Friction Company (DFC) 604-40094 is a GEOSPEC coated front brake rotor with a blank face, CNC-machined to the tightest tolerances. It fits many vehicles, among them the 2011-2018 Ram 1500, 2002-2010 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2004-2009 Dodge Durango, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
DFC designs this rotor to meet the same form, fit and function as OEM brake rotors. It is made with premium G3000/G11H18 iron castings for strength, stability and durability.
DFC quality tests these rotors. Replacing both front rotors together as a matched pair is recommended for even, balanced braking.
What does a disc brake rotor do?
The brake pads clamp against the rotor to slow the wheel, and the rotor absorbs and sheds the heat that braking creates. The DFC 604-40094 uses an OE vane configuration designed for proper heat dissipation.
Are these the right 2011-2018 Ram 1500 rotors for the front of my truck?
It is a direct-fit front rotor for the 2011-2018 Ram 1500 and the 2002-2010 Dodge Ram 1500. The Buyer's Guide tab lists every vehicle it fits.
Does this rotor need to be cleaned before installation?
No. DFC states the rotor is ready to install with no additional pre-degreasing needed, which saves time during the brake job.
What does a blank rotor mean?
A blank rotor has a plain braking surface with no drilled holes or slots. This one has a GEOSPEC coating and a non-directional finish that DFC says promotes faster break-in.
What are signs the front brake rotors may need replacing?
Common signs include a pulsating brake pedal, vibration or noise when braking, and deep scoring or grooves on the braking surface. Inspect and measure the rotors before replacing them.
