Four Seasons A/C Compressor P/N:178316
Four Seasons 78542 A/C compressor for the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer and other vehicles pressurizes and circulates refrigerant through the air conditioning system. It is a new Ford scroll compressor with the clutch included.
Weak or warm air from the vents, a noisy compressor or a clutch that will not engage can mean the compressor is worn, though a leaking line or a faulty clutch relay can be behind the same signs, so find the cause before you replace it. Each vehicle takes one compressor, driven by the engine's serpentine belt.
The fitment covers a wide range of Ford and Mercury models, led by the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer, the 2002-2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and the 2002-2005 Mercury Mountaineer.
