Restore proper engine-cooling airflow with the Four Seasons Engine Cooling Fan Clutch 46001, a thermal, standard-rotation, standard-duty unit engineered for a wide range of BMW V8 and V12 models — including the 1988-1994 750IL [V12-5.0L], 1994-1995 530I [V8-3.0L], and 1997-2003 540I [V8-4.4L]. As a thermal fan clutch, it uses a temperature-sensitive element to engage its viscous coupling and drive the cooling fan as underhood heat rises, then lets the fan freewheel when cooling demand is low so the engine isn't dragged by the fan unnecessarily.
