Gates FCM131 cooling fan module for the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion 4-cylinder 2.5L, the 2011-2012 Fusion V6 3.0L and other vehicles controls the speed of the electric cooling fan. Electric fans hold engine coolant in a constant temperature range, and on several applications an engine cooling fan module sets how fast they run.
- Precise fan speed control to minimize energy loss and maximize fuel economy
- Engineered improvements on parts with a high failure rate, aimed at performance and longevity
- Replaces the module alone instead of the complete fan assembly where the dealer does not sell the module separately
- Plug-and-play part for easy installation

A fan that stays off when the engine is hot, runs at the wrong speed, or an engine that overheats can mean a failing module, or a problem elsewhere such as a fuse, wiring or the fan motor. Find the cause first: with the engine off and cool, look over the connectors for corrosion, melted plastic or a loose fit.
