Help your heater and A/C fan deliver the speed you select with this Four Seasons switch, part number 20168. It is an HVAC blower motor resistor that controls how much current reaches the blower motor on the lower fan settings. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1990-1994 Subaru Loyale, 1985-1991 Subaru XT and 1987-1989 Subaru Justy, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list and engine details.
This HVAC blower motor resistor / switch is listed under both names: it is cataloged as a switch, and Four Seasons describes it as an HVAC blower motor resistor.
- Engineered and tested: Four Seasons engineers and tests its products with the aim of years of trouble-free operation.
- Mobile A/C experience: Four Seasons brings more than 50 years of mobile A/C experience to the product.
- Vehicle-specific applications: Built for the listed vehicles, with OE-style connectors.
- Quality contacts: Designed for proper electrical conductivity.
A blower that runs only on its highest setting, or skips some of the lower speeds, is a sign the blower motor resistor may need replacing. The blower motor, control head or wiring can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the circuit first. If the resistor is the cause, this part replaces it.
