Dorman - OE Solutions HVAC Blower Motor Resistor Kit P/N:973-575

Description

Take charge of your cabin fan speeds with this Dorman blower motor resistor and harness kit, part number 973-575, a direct replacement for the original equipment on the 2004-2012 Chevrolet Malibu, 2006-2010 Pontiac G6 and 2007-2009 Saturn Aura. The resistor regulates the power reaching the blower motor so the HVAC system can deliver its different fan speeds. This kit is intended to replace an original resistor that has overheated or corroded.

Direct replacement: the resistor and harness kit is built to take the place of the original equipment on the listed Chevrolet, Pontiac and Saturn applications.
Kit contents: each package pairs a resistor with a harness pigtail, which Dorman notes is essential for most repairs.
Performs like the original: made to operate like original equipment, helping bring back full HVAC operation when a failed resistor is the cause.
Engineering support: backed by Dorman's team of engineers and quality specialists in the USA.

Signs this part may need replacing include a blower that runs on only some speeds, only on high, or not at all. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the HVAC system before replacing parts. Because the harness pigtail comes in the box, the wiring connection can be renewed during the same repair. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for full application details.
