Meet the KYB Gas-a-just KG5481, a high-pressure monotube KYB shock absorber that installs as a front-suspension replacement for the 1977-1986 Chevrolet K30, 1987-1988 Chevrolet V30, 1989-1991 Chevrolet V3500, 1977-1978 GMC K35, 1979-1986 GMC K3500 and 1987-1991 GMC V3500. Offered as an OE monotube replacement, it's designed to help restore your truck's original ride and handling capabilities.

• Two working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston for a comfortable ride during normal driving and instant performance on demand.
• Quicker response: higher gas pressure helps improve steering response, and the Gas-a-just adds up to 25% more damping performance over original-equipment shocks.
• Monotube design: separates the gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response, with components and valving designed specifically for GM trucks.
• Triple chrome-plated piston rod: because fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure, the ultra-smooth rod is designed to reduce seal wear.

This monotube adds damping over the OE design for trucks that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels, and helps keep electronic safety systems performing as the manufacturer intended. Sold individually; replacing the front shocks as a matched pair is recommended for balanced control.
