Description

Keep pressurized oil flowing to every bearing, lifter, and journal with the MELLING oil pump 10552ST, a high-performance, high-volume, high-pressure engine oil pump built for GM small-block V8 engines. It's a direct-fit performance oil pump for many GM vehicles, including the 1988-1999 Chevrolet C1500 [V8-5.7L], 1988-1999 Chevrolet K1500 [V8-5.7L], and 1969-1985 Chevrolet Impala [V8-5.7L] — see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list.

This gear-type pump uses patented billet steel "Shark Tooth" helical gears to move roughly 10% more oil than a stock pump, helping maintain pressure under demanding RPM.

Billet steel Shark Tooth gears: helical gear set in a high-volume design, moving about 10% more oil than stock.
Cast iron housing and cover: CNC machined and manganese phosphate coated, with the cover doweled to the housing to align the shaft bores.
High-RPM support: extended drive and idler shafts add support in the cover to limit shaft deflection at increased RPM.
Chromoly steel drive shaft: includes the 12550 chromoly intermediate shaft with steel guide, plus a screw-in plug that retains the relief spring.
Included hardware: gasket/seal, washers, and self-locking socket-head bolts with a wrench; a pickup screen is not included.

The pump is set at 70 PSI (Pink) relief pressure and includes alternate 58 PSI (Yellow) and 80 PSI (Green) relief springs so you can change the setting. Each pump is individually tested for pressure and flow. Made in the United States.
