Keep a hardworking truck planted through heavy loads and rough roads with the Monroe Magnum Severe Service Shock Absorber 550066, a gas-charged, heavy-duty rear shock built for emergency, municipal, fleet and jobsite vehicles. It installs in the rear suspension position as a direct-fit replacement for the 2017-2026 Ford F-250 Super Duty, 2017-2026 Ford F-350 Super Duty, 2017-2026 Ford F-450 Super Duty and 2024-2025 Ford F-550 Super Duty — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level details.

  • 10-stage valving: adjusts to road extremes to help handle frequent stops, heavy loads and high miles.
  • Nitrogen gas charge: maintains tire-to-road contact by reducing aeration and shock fade for improved ride and handling.
  • Strong and durable build: double welded with arc welds up to 360 degrees, plus a shouldered bushing and bonded bushing (on most applications).
  • Long service life: heavy-duty nitrocarburized rod (most applications) and sintered iron piston, with a PTFE-coated bearing and PTFE-banded piston to reduce friction.

OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and help ensure smooth rod reaction. Sold individually; replace both rear shocks together as a matched pair for balanced ride control. If worn rear shocks are the cause of excessive bounce, poor load control or uneven tire wear, this Magnum Severe Service unit replaces them.
