MSD Distributor P/N:8545
MSD 8517 distributor for the 1960-1966 Buick Electra V8 6.6L, the 1965-1969 Electra V8 7.0L, the 1970-1973 Electra V8 7.5L and other vehicles is a billet MSD Ignition distributor that uses a high-output magnetic trigger to fire an MSD Ignition Control. It must be used with an MSD 6, 7, 8 or 10 Series ignition.
A misfire, hard starting or a rough idle can come from a worn distributor, but those signs alone do not prove it; tired spark plugs are another common source. Each engine takes one distributor.
This HEI/Breakerless distributor fits the 1963-1965 Buick Riviera V8 6.6L, the 1963-1969 Riviera V8 7.0L and the 1970-1973 Riviera V8 7.5L, along with the Electra runs above. Open the "Vehicles it fits" section to check your exact model and engine.
