It's a direct-fit magnetic-pickup distributor for many Ford 289-302 V8 applications, among them the 1980-1981 Ford F-150 5.0L and the 1980-1981 Ford Bronco 5.0L — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list. It ships with a steel gear installed for use with hydraulic roller cams and includes the cap. Must be used with an MSD 6, 7, or 8 Series Ignition control.

  • Billet housing: CNC-machined billet aluminum housing and billet aluminum base
  • Guided shaft: QPQ-coated shaft guided by a sealed ball bearing
  • Chrome moly advance: advance plate and weights fine-blanked from chrome moly steel, with pins staked and tig-welded to the plate
  • Tunable: easy to adjust with the supplied advance springs and stop bushings, while nylon pads keep the weights moving smoothly

The assembly can be locked out for crank-trigger systems, and its magnetic pickup is designed to produce stable trigger signals across the RPM range. Country of origin: United States.

What engines does this distributor fit?
