Keep the ECM reading accurate coolant temperature with the NTK Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor EF0157. It installs as a direct-fit replacement across a wide range of Lexus, Toyota, Scion, and Pontiac applications — including the 2011-2017 Lexus CT200H [L4-1.8L], 2007-2018 Lexus ES350 [V6-3.5L], 2006-2017 Lexus IS350 [V6-3.5L], and 2005-2021 Toyota 4Runner [V6-4.0L] — with many more (see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list).

The coolant temperature sensor determines the exact temperature of the engine coolant and sends an analog signal to the ECM, which uses it to help manage the air/fuel ratio, cooling fan operation, and the temperature gauge. Depending on the engine, it may be located on the cylinder head, engine block, thermostat housing, or intake manifold. Signs it may need replacing include check engine light illumination, erratic or no temperature gauge operation, erratic or no cooling fan operation, and engine overheating — diagnose the cause before replacing. Most listed applications use one sensor; the 2018-2021 Lexus LS500 [V6-3.4L] uses two. Mounting hardware, wiring harness, and gaskets/seals are not included; consult the vehicle service information.
