Keep your gear selector and transmission in sync with the Pioneer Automotive Industries automatic transmission shifter cable, part number CA-1242. This lower shifter cable is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, 2007-2013 GMC Sierra 1500 and 2007-2008 Chevrolet Tahoe; see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
The shifter cable links the shifter to the transmission. Each time you move the selector, the cable carries that motion to the transmission so it engages the chosen range. Pioneer builds its cables as a high-quality replacement alternative, manufactured to OE specs.
- Built to OE specs: Pioneer manufactures its cables to original-equipment specifications.
- Steel inner cable: A durable steel core carries shifter movement to the transmission.
- Polymer outer housing: Shields the inner cable from corrosion and abrasion.
- Lower position: Cataloged as the lower shifter cable for the listed applications.
Signs this part may need replacing: a gear indicator that doesn't line up with the selected gear, a shift lever that feels loose or sloppy, trouble selecting Park, or a lever that is hard to move. Other parts can cause these same symptoms, so diagnose the shift linkage before you replace the cable.
See the Buyer's Guide tab for engine details on each application.
