How it works: When you press the pedal, the inner cable slides inside its housing and opens the carburetor throttle. When you lift off, the throttle's return spring closes it again.

Signs this part may need replacing: A stiff or sticking pedal, a throttle that is slow to return to idle, delayed throttle response, or a frayed or kinked cable. If a worn cable is the cause, CA-8793 replaces it. Inspect the throttle linkage and return springs at the same time.
