PowerStop Disc Brake Caliper P/N:L4989
PowerStop L3226 rear left brake caliper for the 2012-2015 BMW X1 and other vehicles clamps the brake pads against the rotor to slow the wheel. This floating, single-piston disc brake caliper is one of the PowerStop brake calipers sold under the Autospecialty line.
A rear caliper that sticks can show up as the car pulling to one side under braking, a burning smell after a drive, or brake fluid around the caliper. These signs alone do not prove the caliper is the problem; a collapsed brake hose is another common source.
The 2012-2015 BMW X1, the 2007-2013 BMW 328i and the 2009-2013 BMW 328i xDrive all take this caliper, and so do other BMW models. This listing is one caliper, sold individually, for the rear left; the 2012-2015 BMW X1 takes one on this side, and the rear right is a separate part, ordered separately. Both sides are normally replaced together.
