Standard Ignition Distributor Cap P/N:JH-133

Help deliver high-voltage spark to each cylinder with the Standard Ignition Distributor Cap JH-133, which routes the coil's energy through the distributor to each spark plug wire. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1991-1996 Ford Escort, 1990-1993 Ford Festiva and 1989-1992 Ford Probe, as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. • Decades of development: Its distributor caps and rotors draw on decades of research and development.
• Reinforced polyester resin: The caps are made of high dielectric strength, glass/mineral reinforced polyester resin. The material is designed for less carbon tracking and greater resistance to electrical breakdown.
• RFI resistors and brass terminals, where applicable: RFI resistors are fitted where specified to help suppress radio static and voltage spikes that could damage the ECU. Solid brass terminals are used where available for better connections and resistance to pitting and corrosion.

The cap works with the distributor rotor. High voltage enters at the center terminal, and the rotor passes it to the outer terminals in turn. Signs a cap may need replacing include misfires, hard starting, rough running, cracks, carbon tracks or corroded terminals. If a worn or damaged cap is the cause, this part replaces it.
