Standard Ignition Distributor Cap P/N:JH-108
Standard Motor Products
Keep spark reaching every cylinder in the correct firing order with the Standard Ignition Distributor Cap JH-247. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 1997-2004 Mitsubishi Diamante (see the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine-level fitment). The distributor cap routes high-voltage current from the ignition coil and rotor out to each spark plug wire, so a cracked, carbon-tracked, or corroded cap is a common cause of misfires and hard starts.
If a failing distributor cap is the cause of your misfire or rough running, this replaces it.

This part cross-references / interchanges with the following part numbers:
What does a distributor cap do?
It routes high-voltage current from the ignition coil and rotor to each spark plug wire in the correct firing order, so the plugs fire in sequence.
What vehicles does the JH-247 fit?
It is a direct-fit replacement for the 1997-2004 Mitsubishi Diamante. Check the "Vehicles it fits" section to confirm the fit for your specific vehicle.
What is the cap made of?
It is made of high dielectric strength, glass/mineral reinforced polyester resin for less carbon tracking and greater resistance to electrical breakdown.
What are signs the distributor cap may need replacing?
Cracks, carbon tracking, corroded terminals, misfires, rough running, or hard starting. Diagnose the cause before replacing, as these symptoms can have other sources.
Does it have brass terminals and an RFI resistor?
Solid brass terminals are used where available, and RFI resistors are included where specified, so features can vary by application.
