Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor P/N:AL-99
Keep high-voltage spark reaching every cylinder of your vintage engine with the Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor AL-102. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, including the 1934-1937 Studebaker Dictator, 1940 Packard Model 1800 and 1943-1955 Jeep Willys. It also fits numerous Hudson, Auburn, Hupmobile and Studebaker models. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
The rotor rides on the distributor shaft and turns with it. It carries the coil's high-voltage charge from the cap's center terminal to each outer terminal, and from there to the spark plugs in firing order.
Signs a distributor rotor may need replacing include misfires, hard starting or a no-start, rough running, and a burned, eroded or carbon-tracked contact tip. If a worn rotor is the cause, AL-102 replaces it. Diagnose the ignition system first, and inspect the distributor cap at the same time.

What vehicles does the Standard Ignition AL-102 fit?
It fits many vintage vehicles, including the 1934-1937 Studebaker Dictator, 1940 Packard Model 1800 and 1943-1955 Jeep Willys. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
What does a distributor rotor do?
It turns with the distributor shaft and carries high voltage from the cap's center terminal to each outer terminal, which sends spark to each plug in turn.
What are the AL-102 rotor segments made of?
The AL-102 uses solid brass segments. They are designed for better conductivity and a higher-voltage spark to the plugs.
How does the alkyd material help?
The high-grade dielectric-strength alkyd resists dirt sticking. This helps reduce carbon tracking and is intended to extend service life.
Which part numbers does AL-102 interchange with?
The AL-102 cross-references D91B, AL903, AL58 and PL307.
