Help deliver spark to each cylinder in firing order with the Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor JR-109. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, including the 1991-1995 Dodge Colt, 1991-1995 Plymouth Colt, and 1990-1994 Plymouth Laser.

The rotor mounts on the distributor shaft and turns with it. As it turns, it carries high-voltage current from the cap's center terminal to each spark plug terminal in sequence. If a worn or burned rotor is causing misfires, hard starting, or rough running, this part replaces it.

  • High dielectric-strength body: made from an engineering polymer designed to resist electrical breakdown and arcing for long life.
  • Noise-suppressing coating: applied to the segment to help prevent electrical interference with the radio and other electronic circuits.
  • Solid brass segment: resists pitting and erosion for extended life.
  • Shaft retention clips: help the rotor fit properly on the distributor shaft.

Frequently Asked Questions

What vehicles does the Standard JR-109 distributor rotor fit?

It fits many vehicles, among them the 1991-1995 Dodge Colt, 1991-1995 Plymouth Colt, and 1990-1994 Plymouth Laser. See the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.

What does a distributor rotor do?

It turns with the distributor shaft and carries high-voltage current from the cap's center terminal to each spark plug terminal in turn. This sends spark to the cylinders in firing order.

What are signs a distributor rotor may need replacing?

Misfires, hard starting, a no-start, or rough running can come from ignition problems. A rotor with a burned, pitted, or cracked tip may need replacing. Diagnose the cause before you replace parts.

What is the JR-109 rotor segment made of?

The segment is solid brass, which resists pitting and erosion. It also has a noise-suppressing coating that helps prevent interference with the radio and other electronic circuits.

What part numbers does the JR-109 interchange with?

It cross-references D689, MD611788, CR925, EP886, 19017011, and JR109T.
