Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor P/N:JR-134
Standard Motor Products
Send ignition voltage to each spark plug in turn with the Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor JR-175, made with a high dielectric-strength engineering polymer and a solid brass segment. It fits many vehicles, among them the 1994-2002 Honda Accord, 1996-2000 Honda Civic and 1995-1998 Honda Odyssey, and serves as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list and engine details.
The rotor mounts on the end of the distributor shaft and turns with it, carrying voltage from the cap's center terminal to each outer terminal in firing order. A worn, burned or cracked rotor may show up as misfires, rough running or hard starting. If a failed rotor is the cause, the JR-175 replaces it. Other ignition parts can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the system before replacing parts.

What does a distributor rotor do?
It turns with the distributor shaft and carries ignition voltage from the cap's center terminal to each outer terminal, sending spark to each cylinder in firing order.
Is the JR-175 the right Honda Civic distributor rotor for a 1996-2000 Honda Civic?
The JR-175 is listed for the 1996-2000 Honda Civic, as well as the 1994-2002 Honda Accord and 1995-1998 Honda Odyssey. Use the "Vehicles it fits" section to confirm your exact vehicle and engine.
What is the Standard Ignition JR-175 made of?
It uses a high dielectric-strength engineering polymer and a solid brass segment. The segment has a noise-suppressing coating to help limit interference with the radio and other electronics.
What are signs a distributor rotor may need replacing?
Possible signs include misfires, rough running, hard starting or a no-start, and a rotor tip that looks burned, pitted or cracked. Other ignition parts can cause these symptoms, so diagnose first.
How does the JR-175 install?
It fits onto the distributor shaft, and its shaft mounting bushing gives it a proper fit. Follow the vehicle service information to remove the distributor cap and secure the rotor.
