Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor P/N:JR-74
Keep high-voltage spark reaching each cylinder in firing order with the Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor JR-177. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 1998-2001 Nissan Sentra, 2000-2007 Nissan Urvan and 1998 Chevrolet Tracker. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list and engine specifics.
The rotor mounts on the distributor shaft and turns inside the distributor cap. As the shaft rotates, it passes high voltage from the cap's center terminal to each outer terminal and on to the spark plugs.
Signs a distributor rotor may need replacing include misfires, hard starting, rough running, or a burned or carbon-tracked rotor tip. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the ignition system first. If a worn rotor is the cause, JR-177 replaces it. Inspect the distributor cap at the same time.

This part cross-references / interchanges with the following part numbers:
What does a distributor rotor do?
It turns with the distributor shaft inside the cap. It passes high voltage from the cap's center terminal to each outer terminal in turn, which sends spark to the correct plug.
Which vehicles does the JR-177 fit?
It fits many vehicles, among them the 1998-2001 Nissan Sentra, 2000-2007 Nissan Urvan and 1998 Chevrolet Tracker. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list, exact years and engines.
What are the brass segments on this rotor for?
The JR-177 uses solid brass segments. Standard Ignition specifies them for better conductivity and higher-voltage spark to the plugs.
How does the alkyd material help?
The rotor uses high-grade dielectric strength alkyd, which resists dirt sticking to it and helps decrease carbon tracking.
What are signs of a worn distributor rotor?
Signs include misfires, hard starting, rough running, or a burned or carbon-tracked tip. These can also come from the cap, wires or plugs, so diagnose the cause before replacing parts.
