Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor P/N:JR-177
Keep high-voltage spark moving to the right cylinder in firing order with the Standard Ignition Distributor Rotor JR-74. It is a direct-fit replacement for many Toyota vehicles, among them the 1965-1977 Toyota Land Cruiser, 1972-1975 Toyota Mark II and 1972-1973 Toyota Corona; see the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list. The rotor turns with the distributor shaft inside the cap and passes coil voltage to each cap terminal in sequence, sending spark on toward the plugs.
The JR-74 draws on decades of Standard Ignition research and development in distributor caps and rotors. Misfires, hard starting, rough running, or a burned, cracked or carbon-tracked rotor tip are signs this part may need replacing. Other ignition faults can cause the same symptoms, so diagnose the cause before replacing. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine details.

What does a distributor rotor do?
The rotor turns with the distributor shaft and passes high-voltage current from the coil to each cap terminal in sequence. This sends spark toward the plugs in firing order.
Which vehicles does the JR-74 fit?
It is listed for many Toyota vehicles, among them the 1965-1977 Toyota Land Cruiser, 1972-1975 Toyota Mark II and 1972-1973 Toyota Corona. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list and engine details.
What are signs a distributor rotor may need replacing?
Misfires, hard starting, rough running, or a burned, cracked or carbon-tracked rotor tip may mean the rotor needs replacing. Other ignition faults cause similar symptoms, so diagnose first.
What is the JR-74 rotor made of?
It is made with high-grade dielectric strength alkyd, which resists dirt sticking to reduce carbon tracking. Its segments are solid brass for better conductivity.
Which part numbers does the JR-74 interchange with?
It interchanges with numbers including 12-0115, D574, 0291800160, JA909, EP314 and 1972405. The full list appears on the Interchange line in the description.
