Standard Ignition Engine Oil Level Sensor P/N:FLS-82
Keep an accurate eye on your engine's oil level with the Standard Ignition Engine Oil Level Sensor FLS-83. This oil level sensor mounts in the oil pan and reports the oil level to the vehicle's warning system, and it drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer and Trailblazer EXT, 2002 GMC Envoy and Envoy XL, 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS, 2004-2006 Cadillac SRX, 2005-2007 Cadillac STS, and the 2007 Chevrolet Impala and Monte Carlo.
Signs the original sensor may need replacing include a low-oil warning light that stays on with the oil at the correct level, a warning that never illuminates, or erratic oil-level readings. Because those symptoms can have other causes, diagnose the circuit before replacing.
Manufacturer part number FLS-83 (also FLS83).
What does this sensor do?
It senses the engine oil level in the oil pan and sends the signal used to trigger the vehicle's low-oil-level warning.
Will the FLS-83 fit my vehicle?
It is a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, including the Cadillac CTS, SRX and STS, Chevrolet Impala, Monte Carlo and Trailblazer, and GMC Envoy. See the Buyer's Guide tab to confirm your year.
What are the signs of a failing oil level sensor?
A low-oil warning that stays on when oil is full, a warning that never comes on, or erratic level readings. These can have other causes, so diagnose the circuit first.
Is this the same as an oil pressure sensor?
No. This monitors the oil LEVEL in the pan for the low-oil warning, not oil pressure. They are separate components.
What is the manufacturer part number?
The Standard Ignition manufacturer part number is FLS-83.
