Standard Ignition Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Sprocket P/N:VVT829
Keep the camshaft timing phasing the way the engine computer commands it with the Standard Ignition Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Sprocket VVT543. This intake-side cam phaser mounts on the intake (left) camshaft, where it uses engine oil pressure directed by the ECM to advance or retard camshaft position relative to the crankshaft across the rpm range. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of GM and Saab V6 and L6 applications.
Signs this sprocket may need replacing include cam/crank correlation or VVT timing trouble codes and a startup rattle from the phaser; diagnose the cause before replacing, since these symptoms can have other sources. Fits applications such as the 2008-2017 Chevrolet Equinox [V6-3.6L], 2009-2022 Chevrolet Traverse [V6-3.6L], 2013-2019 Cadillac ATS [V6-3.6L], 2007-2016 GMC Acadia [V6-3.6L] and 2007-2009 Saab 9-3 [V6-2.8L], among others — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list. Most applications use one; the Saab 9-3 [V6-2.8L] uses two.
