Standard Ignition Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve P/N:EGV708
Standard Motor Products
Standard Ignition EGV627 EGR valve for the 1988-1995 Chevrolet C1500 V8 5.7L, the 1990-1995 C1500 V8 5.0L and other vehicles routes exhaust gas back into the intake to lower combustion temperature. The valve is made to match original designed performance and to integrate with complex emissions systems.
A worn EGR valve can bring a rough idle or a check engine light. Those signs alone do not prove the valve is the problem, since a vacuum leak elsewhere can cause a rough idle too.
The 1988-1995 Chevrolet K1500 V8 5.7L, the 1990-1995 K1500 V8 5.0L and the 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe V8 5.7L all take this EGR valve, along with many other Chevrolet and GMC models. If your vehicle is not named here, look up your year and engine in the "Vehicles it fits" section on this page.

Yes. Each valve is vacuum tested so the seal holds and the engine idles smoothly after installation.
How can I tell if an EGR valve is going bad?
Signs can include pinging under load, lower fuel economy or a rough idle. If the valve is the cause, have it diagnosed and replaced promptly.
