Standard Ignition CBS-1593 hazard warning switch for the 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar is a column-mounted lever switch that controls the headlights and turn signals. This Standard Ignition switch is a multi-function column switch built for the steering column.
Hazard flashers or turn signals that stop responding, a loose lever or high beams that act up can mean the switch is wearing out. Before you replace the switch, rule out a blown fuse, a burned-out bulb or a damaged connector, since any of them can leave the signals dead.
This switch is a direct-fit replacement for the 1999-2002 Mercury Cougar. This listing is one switch, and the car takes one, mounted on its single steering column.
