Standard Ignition Neutral Safety Switch P/N:NS-534
Standard Motor Products
Standard Ignition NS-53 neutral safety switch for the 1967-1977 Ford F-250 and other vehicles allows the engine to start only in Park or Neutral. This electrically operated switch replaces a damaged OE unit and restores neutral safety function.
If the engine will not crank in Park or Neutral, or cranks while the transmission is in gear, a failing switch can be one cause among several. Before replacing it, look over the connector and wiring harness with the engine off for damage, corrosion or loose terminals, since a poor connection can also interrupt the circuit.
This switch is a direct-fit replacement for the 1967-1977 Ford F-250, the 1967-1977 Ford F-350 and the 1967-1970 and 1973-1977 Ford F-100, made to OE spec for fit, form and function. A truck takes a single switch, and this listing is one switch.
