Standard Ignition Vacuum Pump P/N:VCP185
Standard Motor Products
Standard Ignition VCP169 vacuum pump for the 2009-2014 Volkswagen Jetta and other vehicles maintains vacuum for the brake booster and auxiliary systems.
A weak vacuum pump can show up as a stiff brake pedal or reduced assist from vacuum-operated systems. If the pump is the cause, this one replaces it. Before replacing the pump, look over the vacuum lines and fittings with the engine off and cool, since a leak at one of those can feel much like a tired pump.
It is a direct-fit OE replacement, so it works as a VW Passat vacuum pump for the 2012-2015 Volkswagen Passat and for the 2012-2013 Volkswagen Golf. Your engine needs one pump. If your car is not named here, open the "Vehicles it fits" section to check your exact model and engine.

Does the Standard Ignition VCP169 come with a pulley?
No. The VCP169 comes with a mounting bracket. The pulley, hardware, relief valve and O-rings are not included.
Is this vacuum pump mechanical or electric?
It is mechanical and belt-driven, with one vacuum port and a metal housing. The inlet measures 0.23 in (5.842 mm).
Could a hard brake pedal come from a failing vacuum pump?
Yes, it can. Low vacuum reduces brake booster assist, but leaks elsewhere can do the same, so a shop can test it. Have the brakes checked promptly.
