Tighten up worn, sloppy steering with the MOOG Chassis Steering Tie Rod End ES3540 — a front outer tie rod that installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 2000-2001 Dodge Ram 1500, 2000-2002 Dodge Ram 2500, and 2000-2002 Dodge Ram 3500. Also cataloged under the QuickSteer number ES3540, it's designed for OE fit and function, so if a failed original outer tie rod end is the cause of your loose or wandering steering, this replaces it. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for engine-level fitment.
- Greaseable socket: lets you flush fresh lubricant through to push out contaminants, helping reduce corrosion and wear.
- Pressed-in cover plate & premium boot: seal out debris and help minimize looseness, reducing bearing wear.
- Forged alloy steel with heat-treated ball studs: studs are heat treated to match or exceed OE requirements for improved fatigue strength.
- Belleville preload washer & Gusher Bearing: the preload washer helps keep the bearing package tight as bearings wear, while the metal-to-metal Gusher Bearing lets grease flow through the bearing surface for reduced friction.
Precision tolerances are intended for straightforward installation and steering alignment. A replacement outer tie rod end helps restore vehicle handling on the listed applications.
