A ball joint is the pivot between the control arm and the steering knuckle. It lets the wheel steer and move up and down with the suspension. The catalog lists TC1078 for the front lower and rear lower positions, depending on the application. Delphi applies its OE steering expertise to this aftermarket part and uses dimensional and material analysis to aim for close compatibility with the original.

A worn Hyundai Elantra ball joint may cause clunking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, or uneven tire wear. If a worn ball joint is the cause, this unit replaces it. Diagnose the suspension before ordering, and have the wheel alignment checked after installation.
