For installation, a custom-designed adapter ring speeds the job, and the joint is designed to press fit accurately into the larger flange diameter. A part-specific slotted castle nut and easy-snap cotter pin are provided to secure it to the vehicle. Pre-applied nylok thread adhesive helps keep fasteners secure and resistant to vibration.
Signs a front upper ball joint may need replacing include clunking or knocking over bumps, loose or wandering steering, uneven tire wear, and noticeable play at the joint. Other parts can cause these symptoms too, so diagnose the cause before replacing.
