Description

Built for trucks that work hard, the Mevotech TTX control arm CTXK8722T is a front left upper control arm and ball joint assembly with a forged steel arm and a reinforced ball joint head. It is a direct-fit replacement for a wide range of Ford and Lincoln trucks and SUVs, among them the 1997-2003 Ford F-150, 1997-1999 Ford F-250 and 1997-2002 Ford Expedition. Mevotech designs its TTX line for high-usage commercial and passenger vehicles, SUVs, fleets and working trucks. As an upper control arm, this part connects the steering knuckle to the frame and helps locate the front left wheel as the suspension moves.

Stronger build: A forged steel control arm with a reinforced ball joint head and a thicker cross section adds durability. Patented sintered bearings are intended for longer-lasting performance, and the application-specific ball stud system uses a larger sphere.
Knurled bushings: The upgraded rubber bushings have knurling that secures the control arm bushing to the sub-frame.
Install hardware provided: A part-specific slotted castle nut and an easy-snap cotter pin secure the ball joint to the vehicle. The fasteners carry pre-applied nylok thread adhesive to help keep them tight and vibration resistant.
Serviceable and protected: Both a 180-degree and a 90-degree SAE grease fitting are included for routine greasing. A Repel-TEK surface treatment helps prevent rust build-up.
