Built for trucks that log serious miles, the Monroe Magnum 66860 front shock absorber is gas-charged for quicker response and a steadier, more comfortable ride. • Consistent ride: All-weather fluid carries special additives that help with extreme temperatures and reduce oil breakdown. Where required, a 2-in. or 2-1/4-in. reserve tube holds more fluid to improve performance.

On most applications, a hydraulic lock-out helps prevent over-extension of air bags and top-out of the piston, and it protects the seal assembly from damage. The nitrogen gas charge is designed to maintain tire-to-road contact by reducing aeration and shock fade. The shock also helps isolate impact-related noise, vibration and harshness.
