Description

Help restore the designed ride control and handling of your Honda with the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut 341073, a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube unit that mounts in the front left position. It installs as a direct-fit replacement for the 1986-1989 Honda Accord and 1988-1991 Honda Prelude (see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full application details). KYB builds the Excel-G on the same OE assembly lines using the same OE-quality components, calibrated to restore original, designed performance rather than change it — the classification KYB calls OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket).

Twin-tube, gas-charged design: a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube strut that includes the quality components found in KYB's global OEM products.
Triple-lip fluid seal: uses a triple lip fluid seal to reduce the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Application-tuned valving: vehicle-specific, hand-assembled in-house damping valves manage tire contact, steering response and body movement.
Strong strut body: KYB's thick strut bodies and brackets help minimize flex to maintain correct alignment.

To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5058), and protecting the new strut with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB108).
