Description

Settle the ride and bring back factory-tuned control with the KYB Excel-G Suspension Strut 341179, a nitrogen gas-charged, twin-tube rear strut that drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1992-2001 Honda Prelude. Built on KYB's OE assembly lines and calibrated to restore the vehicle's original designed performance rather than change it, the Excel-G helps bring back ride control, stability, stopping, lane-change responsiveness, and handling as your Prelude's worn dampers fade.

Nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube design: classified OEA (Original Equipment for the Aftermarket) and made with the same OE-quality components found in KYB's global OEM products.
Triple-lip fluid seal: helps reduce the chance of oil and gas leaking out.
Vehicle-specific, hand-assembled damping valves: manage tire contact, steering response, and body movement to help keep electronic safety systems performing as designed.
Strong, thick strut body and brackets: minimize flex to help maintain correct alignment.

To reduce the chance of noise and vibration, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5059), and you can protect the strut from dirt, debris, and salt with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB108). This is a rear-position strut.
