This OE-replacement cap is a direct-fit for the 1990-1991 Honda Accord, 1992-2000 Honda Civic, 1993-1997 Honda Civic del Sol, 1997-2001 Honda CR-V, 1992-2001 Acura Integra, and the 1997-1999 and 2001 Acura EL — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment.

The distributor cap directs high-voltage current from the ignition coil to the correct spark plug through the rotor and internal terminals, keeping cylinders firing in the proper order. Over time a cap can develop carbon tracking, cracks, or corrosion — signs it may need replacing that can lead to misfires, hard starting, and drivability issues. It's designed to install into the original distributor housing and maintain a secure connection with the rotor and ignition wires.
