- No-bypass design: Wix designs and builds the filter so that no unfiltered fluid can bypass the application-specific filtration media.
- Lock-seamed, sealed assembly: The filter uses lock-seamed, sealed construction and application-specific sealing components, all intended to deliver complete filtration.
- Sealing gaskets included: The kit comes with sealing gaskets designed for use with today's sophisticated transmission fluids.
- Primary, internal position: The filter serves as the primary internal filter for the transmission on the listed applications.
An automatic transmission filter traps contaminants in the fluid before it circulates through the transmission. The filter kit is commonly replaced during a transmission fluid-and-filter service. Delayed or harsh shifts, slipping, or dark fluid carrying debris can be signs that the filter may need replacing. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the transmission before replacing parts.
This kit covers many vehicles, including Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Isuzu and Freightliner vehicles as well as Coachmen, Forest River, Jayco and Thor Motor Coach models. See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the full list and engine details.
