Walker Products Oxygen Sensor P/N:250-241256
Walker Products 250-24159 oxygen sensor for the 2000-2004 Toyota Tacoma 4-cylinder 2.4L or 2.7L and the 2001-2004 Tacoma V6 3.4L measures the oxygen in the exhaust gas to show how efficiently the engine burns fuel. It is made for a specific application and fitment position and gives the ECU the diagnostic feedback that position requires.
A failing sensor can show up as rough running, higher fuel use or a lit malfunction indicator light. Newer vehicles store fault codes in the ECU, and some point to the affected sensor. Before you replace the sensor, rule out damage to its wiring harness and connector by looking them over for physical damage while the engine is cool.
This downstream O2 sensor fits the 2000-2004 Toyota Tacoma 4-cylinder 2.4L or 2.7L and the 2001-2004 Tacoma V6 3.4L.
Fit and size
Build and materials
One oxygen sensor. Each engine in the fitment takes one downstream sensor.
Is this the right 2001 Toyota Tacoma O2 sensor?
Yes. Walker Products 250-24159 fits the 2000-2004 Toyota Tacoma 4-cylinder 2.4L or 2.7L and the 2001-2004 Tacoma V6 3.4L, so the 2001 model is covered with any of those engines.
Is this the downstream 2002 Toyota Tacoma O2 sensor?
Yes. Walker Products 250-24159 is the downstream oxygen sensor for the 2002 Toyota Tacoma with the 4-cylinder 2.4L or 2.7L or the V6 3.4L.
Is the Walker Products oxygen sensor 250-24159 narrow-band or wideband?
Narrow-band. It is a 4-wire sensor with a flange, and its electrodes have a gas-permeable platinum layer.
Can a bad downstream oxygen sensor turn on the check engine light?
Yes. A failed sensor can make the engine run poorly, raise fuel use or light the malfunction indicator. A shop can read the stored fault codes to see which sensor they point to.
How many sensors does the 250-24159 listing include?
One. Each engine in the fitment takes one downstream sensor, so one 250-24159 covers that position.
