Description

Help keep the fluid in your automatic transmission clean with the WIX Automatic Transmission Filter Kit, part number 58837. It is a direct-fit replacement for many vehicles, among them the 2000-2011 Chevrolet Impala, 1992-2008 Pontiac Grand Prix and 1995-2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Many more Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn models are listed in the "Vehicles it fits" section.

No bypass by design: The filter's design and construction are intended so that no unfiltered fluid can get around its application-specific filtration media.
Lock-seamed, sealed assembly: Lock seamed and sealed assemblies work with application-specific sealing components and are designed for complete filtration.
Gaskets included: The kit comes with sealing gaskets designed specifically for use with today's sophisticated transmission fluids.

An automatic transmission filter strains the fluid as it circulates through the transmission and traps contaminants before they can travel through the system. It is commonly replaced along with the fluid during a scheduled transmission service. Consult the vehicle service information for the correct fluid and procedure.

Signs a transmission filter service may be due include delayed or harsh engagement, slipping, or unusual whining. These symptoms can have other causes, so diagnose the transmission before replacing parts.

See the "Vehicles it fits" section for the complete list of applications.
