Keep automatic transmission fluid where it belongs with the SKF Automatic Transmission Output Shaft Seal 17746. This left-side seal holds fluid in and helps keep dirt and water out at the output shaft. It is a direct-fit replacement for the 1968-1978 Cadillac Eldorado. The seal body stays stationary in its bore while its lip rides on the rotating output shaft, closing the gap so transmission fluid stays inside. Signs this seal may need replacing include fluid seeping or dripping near the left output shaft area, or a transmission fluid level that keeps dropping. Diagnose the source of any leak before replacing parts.
