Cloyes High Performance Engine Timing Set P/N:9-3100AZ
Cloyes 9-3100B timing set for the 1959-1967 Chevrolet Impala V8 4.6L, the 1962-1969 Impala V8 5.3L, the 1968 Impala V8 5.0L, the 1969-1971 Impala V8 5.7L, the 1970-1976 Impala V8 6.6L, the 1974-1982 Impala V8 5.7L, the 1979-1984 Impala V8 5.0L, the 1980-1982 Impala V8 4.4L, the 1980-1984 Impala V6 3.8L and other vehicles links the crankshaft to the camshaft so the valves open and close in step with the pistons. This performance engine timing set uses a double roller chain.
A rattle from the front of the engine, uneven running or a hard start can mean the chain or sprockets are worn, though the ignition system or fuel delivery can be behind uneven running and hard starts as well.
This double roller timing set also fits the 1978-1979 Chevrolet Malibu V6 3.3L and the 1961-1966 Chevrolet Suburban V8 4.6L, and each engine takes one set. Driving a different model or engine? Look up your own year, model and engine in the "Vehicles it fits" section.
