Delphi FG0423 fuel pump module for the 2002-2003 Dodge Ram 1500 V6 3.7L, V8 4.7L or 5.9L pumps fuel from the tank toward the engine. This Delphi fuel pump module assembly comes with a float arm and is built to Delphi's OE standards.
- Empty float height and float retention set for a correct gas gauge reading
- Lower amperage draw puts less load on the vehicle's electrical system
- Validated and tested, and matched to the vehicle application
- Design and durability aimed at lower failure rates
Quick facts
- Part: Delphi FG0423 fuel pump module
- Also called: fuel pump assembly
- Fits: 2002-2003 Dodge Ram 1500 V6 3.7L, V8 4.7L or 5.9L
- Condition: New
Hard starting, sputtering under load or a gas gauge that reads wrong can mean a worn pump or float, but other fuel-system problems show the same way. Before replacing the module, look at the fuel pump fuse with the ignition off, since a blown fuse also keeps the pump from running.
Fits
This fuel pump module fits the 2002-2003 Dodge Ram 1500 V6 3.7L, V8 4.7L or 5.9L.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this Delphi fuel pump module fit the 2002-2003 Dodge Ram 1500 V6 3.7L, V8 4.7L or 5.9L?
Yes. Delphi FG0423 is listed for the 2002-2003 Dodge Ram 1500 with the V6 3.7L, V8 4.7L or V8 5.9L, and each truck takes one module.
Does the Delphi fuel module come with a float arm?
Yes. Delphi FG0423 is one fuel pump module with its float arm, plus an instruction sheet.
How does the float arm on this Delphi module affect the gas gauge?
Empty float height and float retention match OE specifications, which gives a correct gas gauge reading.
Can a failing fuel pump assembly cause a wrong gas gauge reading?
Yes, if the float arm is the cause, but other problems can give a wrong reading too. Fuel system testing is best left to a shop, since it involves fuel lines and a running engine.
Does the Delphi FG0423 need anything done to the tank before installing?
Yes. The fuel tank should be checked and cleaned first. The instruction sheet that comes with the module covers the installation steps.
