Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier P/N:33564
Keep your air conditioning circulating clean, dry refrigerant with the Four Seasons A/C Receiver Drier / Filter Drier (MPN 33428). This new steel unit drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the listed applications, including the 1986-1989 Acura Integra, 1978-1983 Audi 5000, 1985 Dodge Colt, 1992 Hyundai Elantra, 1983-1984 Mazda B2000 and B2200, 1983-1985 Mazda RX-7, and 1985 Plymouth Colt — see the Buyer's Guide tab for the full list.
The desiccant is not replaceable, so the complete drier is serviced as a unit. Because a leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant within hours, replace the receiver drier any time the A/C system is opened or serviced. Manufacturer part number 33428. Country of origin: China.
What does this A/C receiver drier do?
It filters moisture and contaminants out of the refrigerant using an internal desiccant. These contaminants cannot be removed by flushing, so replacing the drier is how they are cleared from the system.
Does it come with O-rings and seals?
Yes. It includes three O-rings plus the necessary gaskets and seals for installation. A bracket and mounting hardware are not included.
Can the desiccant be replaced separately?
No. The desiccant is not replaceable, so the complete drier is replaced as a single unit.
When should the receiver drier be replaced?
Replace it any time the A/C system is opened or serviced. A leaking or open system can saturate the desiccant within a few hours, making the drier ineffective.
Does this unit have a sight glass or moisture indicator?
No. This drier has no sight glass, moisture indicator, or pressure relief valve, but it does include a switch port. It measures about 2.5 in (63.5 mm) in diameter and 203.2 mm in length.
