Hooker Exhaust Header P/N:2817-1HKR
Hooker 5903-1HKR exhaust header for the 1966 Dodge Charger V8 7.0L, the 1966-1971 Charger V8 6.3L, the 1967-1974 Charger V8 7.2L, the 1972-1974 Charger V8 6.6L and other vehicles carries exhaust from each port through long tubes into a single collector. It belongs to the Hooker Competition series.
A cracked tube, soot streaks at a port joint or a ticking sound from the exhaust ports can mean an exhaust leak. Other things can cause the same noise, so with the engine off and cool, look over the flanges and bolts for cracks and loose fasteners before you replace the header.
It fits the 1965-1971 Dodge Coronet V8 6.3L, the 1966-1970 Coronet V8 7.2L, the 1967 Coronet V8 7.0L, the 1972-1974 Coronet V8 6.6L or 7.2L and the Chargers named above. The 1975 Chrysler Cordoba V8 6.6L fits too and takes one pair.

Do these Dodge Charger exhaust headers fit the 1967-1974 model with the V8 7.2L?
Yes. Hooker 5903-1HKR fits the 1967-1974 Dodge Charger V8 7.2L. For another model or engine, look up your own year and engine in the "Vehicles it fits" section.
Are the bolts included with the Hooker 5903-1HKR headers?
Yes. Hooker 5903-1HKR comes with the necessary hardware, including 3/8-16 x 3/4 in. bolts. A collector reducer is not included.
What tube and collector sizes do these headers have?
The primary tubes are 1.875 in. (1 7/8 in.) in outside diameter and 36 in. long, with 16 gauge walls. The collector is 3 in. OD and 8 in. long.
Could ticking near the ports mean a header flange is leaking?
It can, since a loose flange joint or a cracked tube lets exhaust escape, and soot streaks at a port are another sign. A shop can run the engine and find the exact spot.
Do these long-tube headers work with factory power steering and air conditioning?
Yes. These Competition series headers work with factory power steering, power brakes and air conditioning.
