Description

Control body motion at the rear of your truck with the KYB Gas-a-just Suspension Shock Absorber KG5493, a high-pressure monotube gas shock built for the REAR position. It drops in as a direct-fit replacement for the 1990-1996 Ford F-150, 1992-1998 Ford F-250, 1997 Ford F-250 HD, 1985-1997 Ford F-350, 1989-2011 Ford Ranger, 1994-2007 Mazda B3000, and 1994-2009 Mazda B4000 — see the Buyer's Guide tab for engine-level fitment.

High-pressure monotube design: separates the gas and oil for fade-free operation and instant response, avoiding the aeration fade of a traditional twin-tube.
Two working chambers: an air-free hydraulic piston and valve area for responsiveness and control, plus a high-pressure nitrogen gas area with a floating piston for a comfortable ride during normal driving.
Adds up to 25% more damping over original-equipment shocks, with components and valving designed specifically for Ford trucks that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels.
Triple chrome-plated piston rod: an ultra-smooth finish designed to reduce seal wear, since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure.
