• High-pressure monotube design: Separates the gas and oil into two working chambers for fade-free operation and instant response, avoiding the aeration that can affect twin-tube designs.
• Triple chrome-plated piston rod: An ultra-smooth chrome piston rod helps reduce seal wear, since fluid leaking can be a cause of shock failure.
• Responsive damping: The higher gas pressure is designed to improve steering response, and Gas-a-just adds up to 25% more damping over original-equipment shocks for vehicles that work, tow, and run larger, heavier tires and wheels.

KYB recommends installing new strut mounts (part number SM5070) to reduce the chance of noise and vibration, and protecting the new struts with a KYB Strut Boot (part number SB115).
